In a whisper
In a whisper:
I love when my husband and son are sleeping and my house is quiet. It gives me time to think, worship and pray about the things that I care for and desire most in this life.
I was thinking about the things I have been asking God lately. It made wonder…do you ask God for things; if so do you expect an answer back? My other question is how do you expect God to answer you?
What came to mind for me was when Moses was wondering in the desert and came upon the burning bush and heard the audible voice of God. (Exodus 3:1-5)
I don’t know about you but I sometimes wish God would answer me so directly; but in reality if I actually saw a burning bush speaking, I would probably pee my pants. However I do believe God is answering my prayers and conversing with me on a daily basis:
Psalms 3:4 “To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill.”
Isaiah 65:24 “And it shall be that before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear.”
I believe for me anyways, God wants me to take time away and withdraw from the business, and the noise in life. I know God speaks to me more often in the quiet just how he did to Elijah.
“And He said, Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a sound of gentle stillness and] a still, small voice. When Elijah heard the voice, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, What are you doing here, Elijah?”
I believe that God is always speaking to us, it’s just a matter of us quieting down and taking the time to hear Him. It is so important to seek Gods face and really hear Him because it changes our views and restores our hope and faith in Him. It reminds us of Gods character and His crazy love for us.
So I want to encourage you to take 5 minutes, take 10 minutes of your day and quiet down to hear what God is saying to you. I am sure you will be blown away by the love story He is writing to you and through you.

He is more real than we estimate. He speaks to us, we are so busy about me, me and me. We fail sometimes great opportunity to be used for His Glory. He does not want your attention, for you. But He wants the attention on Him.
Praising Him whatever our circumstance might be, He already knows you and your needs . He wants our hearts and He wants us to depend on Him.
I personally wake up to God, spend time in His word and worship throughout the day, in my head or out loud.
Love, be quiet and pray…
