Tools…
I was driving to work today and thinking about my friends. I have friends that are struggling because they don’t see themselves the way God sees them. I also have friends in church leadership that just need to be lifted up and encouraged in there calling.
I like to recommend books, songs, teachings, etc… that have impacted my life and spiritual growth when I know my friends need more of God, and need to be equipped by God to make an impact on this world.
The Lord spoke to me and said “you give out the tools and it is there job to use them.” I can give my friends a hammer, or screw driver, or wrench, but they have to choose to pick up the tool and use it to build, create, and restore. God gave me so much peace through this revelation, knowing that My job is to guide and direct.
I may only have a few people to influence, but those few people may one day change the course of nations. It only takes one person to change the course of History. There are many examples of this in the Bible: Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, Moses. Don’t forget the greatest influence of all time our Lord and Savior Jesus.
I am reminded of my head pastor who always tells us “stay on your number”. I am so thankful today that the Lord carries the weight of the world and exchanged it for peace in my heart.
“His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),”
Ephesians 4:12 AMPC
“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”
John 14:27 AMPC
I want to challenge you today today; to reach out and give someone a word of encouragement, an act of kindness, only God knows the eternal impact your word or action will have on the kingdom.
