Offense and Prayer:

Are you walking offended? One of the biggest things that inhibits prayer and hearing Gods voice is offense. For me most of the time My offense is directed at God. Especially when I think God is going to do something a certain way or release an answered prayer but only the way I want him to. God doesn’t work how I want or when I want him too. God is God and God has his own timeline.

The Bible says: ““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
‭‭ISAIAH‬ ‭55:8-9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

So when we get offended with God it opens us up to torment and unbelief.

“B E ANGRY [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], YET DO NOT SIN; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down. And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].”
‭‭EPHESIANS‬ ‭4:26-27‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is hope if your heart has been offended. Once you release it and forgive the person, or God if he offended you; faith is released and breakthrough is released. I believe forgiveness is the key to breakthrough in prayer and answered prayers.

“Even if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times and says, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him [that is, give up resentment and consider the offense recalled and annulled].” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith [our ability to confidently trust in God and in His power].” And the Lord said, “If you have [confident, abiding] faith in God [even as small] as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree [which has very strong roots], ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea’; and [if the request was in agreement with the will of God] it would have obeyed you.”
‭‭LUKE‬ ‭17:4-6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God is always searching our hearts. And the major road block to hearing him is our own heart issues. If this resonates with you I want to encourage you today. Get quiet and tell God what offended you. If you don’t know ask him to show you. Ask him to clean your heart so you can hear his yes and Amen clearly.

“Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part [of my heart] You will make me know wisdom. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; Let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.”
‭‭PSALMS‬ ‭51:6-12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I want to tell you a secret, God already knows what’s in your heart.

Here is prayer to help you if you need:
